We are excited to announce that Mr. Brent Case has joined our client Intersect Illinois as Senior Vice President, Business Development. Brent reports to Mark Peterson, Chief Executive Officer.

Brent was most recently with Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) as Vice President, Business Attraction, where he was responsible for expansion and attraction efforts for the Greater Lansing area. Prior to LEAP, Brent served in economic development and business leadership roles with several leading organizations including: TOC Logistics International, Capital Regional Airport Authority, Lansing Chamber of Commerce and MidMichigan Innovation Center.

Brent earned both a Master of Arts degree in Industrial Management and Technology and a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Management and Manufacturing from Central Michigan University.

Brent is a Persian Gulf War Veteran, having served four years of active duty with the US Army (Communications and Paratrooper) and four years with the Michigan National Guard.

In February, 2016, Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner established the Illinois Business and Economic Development Corp. through an executive order. The agency was rebranded Intersect Illinois on July 25.  The organization is comprised of business, industry and civic leaders throughout the state.  Intersect Illinois, which is loosely modeled after a similar public-private development partnership in Chicago, is doing some of the work once done by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.  The nonprofit agency markets the state of Illinois to domestic and global business leaders, and uses private capital to facilitate the attraction of new businesses to the state.
